Charminar, Hyderabad

The Charminar stands at the heart of Hyderabad’s main bazaar area, a labyrinth of lanes crowded with shops, stalls, markets, and shoppers. Hyderabad’s principal landmark and the city symbol was built by Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in 1591.

Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru

Built in the year 1956, #VidhanaSoudha of Bengaluru boasts of exquisite Dravidian architecture. It was built under the then chief minister of  Karnataka, Mr. Kengal Hanumanthaiah, as a tribute to Indian temple architecture.

Kripamayee Kali, Baranagar

Kripamayee Kali temple commonly known as Jay Mitra Kalibari on the eastern banks of Hoogly river in Baranagar (West Bengal.) The temple was built in 1848 by Jayram Mitra, a famous zamindar and a devotee of #Kali.

Jama Masjid, Delhi

Jama Masjid great mosque of Old  Delhi is the largest in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25,000 devotees. It was begun in 1644 and ended up being the final architectural extravagance of Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor.

Kapaleeswarar, Chennai

The Kapaleeswarar Temple is dedicated to Lord  Shiva and was built approximately in the seventh century. The #Gopuram inside the temple marks as a unique example of the Dravidian architectural style.

Hawa Mahal, Jaipur

Jaipur’s most distinctive landmark, the Hawa Mahal is an extraordinary pink-painted delicately honeycombed hive that rises a dizzying five stories. It was constructed in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh to enable ladies of the royal household to watch the life and processions of the city.

Taj Mahal, Agra

An immense mausoleum of white marble, built in  Agra between 1631 and 1648 by order of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife, the Taj Mahal is the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.

Gateway of India, Mumbai

The #GatewayofIndia is one of India’s most unique landmarks situated in the city of  Mumbai. The colossal structure was constructed in 1924 and as the name suggests it was the gateway to enter into India via Sea.

Qutub Minar, Delhi

Qutub Minar in Delhi is the world heritage site. The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak.
